Four things we can name, and what each one does
Not a detergent base with a fragrance poured over it. A bar starts as a formula: fats chosen for feel, agents chosen for lather, a clay chosen for rinse, and a scent written the way a perfumer writes one.
The lather
Tussah silk, castor oil, coconut oil
Silk is infused into the batch for a smooth, low-friction glide. Castor and coconut build the thick, stable bubbles that clean without stripping.
The rinse
Kaolin clay
A mineral slip that carries the lather off the skin instead of leaving it behind, so a rich bar still rinses clean rather than feeling waxy.
The scent
Written in top, heart and base
The Phantom’s Elixir opens on dark spiced rum and warm bergamot, settles into smoked vanilla bean and dry cedarwood, and dries down on smouldering amber, black tonka and aged mahogany.
Small batch, measured
Rotating collections, not a standing shelf
Batches are made to order or poured a few dozen at a time. Four lines run across the year, and scents come and go as they sell through and cure.
